Top 5 Things I Learned from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Tour

1. Only 4-5% of the universe can be seen by humans
2. Water is one of the most abundant resources in the solar system, it’s just that Earth is the only place that it exists in all 3 states (solid, liquid, gas)
3. One of Jupiter’s moons, Europa, has a large body of salty water, covered by a thick crust of ice. Underneath, life could be teeming with giant sea monsters. They hope to send a robot to drill beneath the ice and send a mini sub around.
4. We could have been in space before the Russian’s during the space race, but we were ordered not to.
5. People are literally manning space missions with their iPad
